This is the chance for working professionals to experience their respective professions in another country and that countries culture and peoples. This is an exceptional way to develop closer ties across the boundaries of countries and cultures but with the common theme of our employment and its similarites.
Where are we all from?
DISTRICT 9710
Rotary District 9710 includes Canberra and the Australian Capital Territory, and the south eastern corner of New South Wales including the area bounded by Nowra, Berry/Gerringong, Goulburn, Yass, Tumut, Batemans Bay, Eden.
The district has 48 Rotary Clubs and 1500 members. The GSE team members represent the coastal clubs of Bega,
MoruyaBatemansBay and the Rotary Clubs of Cooma and the nations capital
Canberra. The district is geographically diverse featuring a long coastal strip from Gerringong to Eden, the Southern Highlands in the north, the limestone plains of Goulburn and Canberra and the southern alps of Cooma and Tumbarumba.
The district covers 60,000 square kilometers. Economic activities range from primary and secondary production in agriculture, forestry, fishing, mining, horticulture, dairy industry and light manufacturing to a substantial range of tertiary or service based activities such as finance, business and government services, tourism sporting, scientific, health and educational services.
Information technology is a significant industry in
Canberra in addition to it being our national capital.
